About Mr. Cheung Shun-kwong
Former Chairman of the Hong Kong Collectors Association
Mr. Cheung Shun-kwong, a surveyor by profession, is a collector of stamps, postcards, and historical documents, with a particular interest in old Hong Kong postcards and tram-related items. He served as the former Chairman of the Hong Kong Collectors Association and is a member of the China Philatelic Society and the Hong Kong Philatelic Society. He has authored 'Selected Historical Postcards of Hong Kong', 'Selected Postcards of Hong Kong 1940's - 1970's', and 'Hong Kong Trams'.
There are many collectors in Hong Kong who are passionate about acquiring old items related to the city, such as postcards, tickets, horse-racing tickets, theater tickets, old receipts, and historical documents. These used to be ordinary items, but they have now become precious historical artifacts that evoke memories of the past.
Mr. Cheung Shun-kwong has been invited multiple times by the Hong Kong Museum of History to give lectures on weekends. This is reflected in the promotional publication by the Urban Council: "The speaker is a well-known local collector, who has published numerous collections of old Hong Kong postcards..."
